Complete Wedding at Delta Diamond Farm of Kristen and Brandon!!!

THE WEDDING OF KRISTEN AND BRANDON

This was my LAST wedding in 2014. It was VERY cold! But it was so beautiful! So many personal touches! From personal notes handed to the groom at the alter by all the bridesmaids, the flower girl tossing glitter rather then flower petals, the couple read their personal vows quietly to each other only and they did a very different bouquet toss. You will have to go through this whole post to see all of these unique wedding ideas!!!

It was at one of my favorite venues, Delta Diamond Farm in Isleton. It has tons of perfect places to take pictures...and the clouds looming on this particular day in November just made them even more stunning!

This is a huge wedding post, I mean huge. It had so many different aspects I wanted to show them ALL off! I also wanted to show all of you looking for a wedding photographer, what covering a whole wedding with two photographers really looks like, ( I also have about 5 other complete weddings below this one when you are finished!) I think that any photographer can show you their best magazine worthy shot...every wedding has one...every photographer has one. And when/if you looked at my website, that's exactly what that is, my best of each. But it's a different thing to show a complete wedding where every aspect of it is shown, ALL of it!

But first a little about the bride and groom! Kristen and Brandon are SO  opposite of each other, but grounded in so many familiar family qualities it's easy to see why the click. Kristen is a modern city woman and Brandon is a farmer. Yes, one that works everyday on a farm! The two were introduced at a wedding by Brandon's sister, I am pretty sure they were suppose to meet earlier but for one reason or another, it never happened, until it was suppose to happen. Their wedding was a shabby chic wedding and farmhouse all in one...you will love looking through all the reception details!

So we begin with Kristen's getting ready details: the dress, jewelry, flowers, garter, wedding rings and shoes...

Even Kristen's ring...has her personality in it!

Kristen's dress was super gorgeous...

The shoes...

The bridesmaids flowers... so simple with the baby's breath...but so perfect...

I went all around the reception area to find these interesting areas to take pictures of the jewelry...

Back in the getting ready room...Kristen is about to get dressed, but first we get a quick picture of her bouquet that her mother made...it is gorgeous!

Kristen and her mother getting her dress...

I love how I captured Kristen's reflection in the mirror while she was putting her jewelry on ...I like mirror shots to be natural...not anything posed...these are perfect...

I love all the "Moments of Joy" that Kristen shows ALL day long! And I especially love the ones with her momma!

The garter...

Putting on the veil...

Almost picture time!!! All the girls taking a moment to take in the finished look...

I think this one is my favorite of the getting ready pictures...

Okay...ready to take pictures...in the cold...but ready...

This was Kristen's mothers favorite place at the venue...and man, those trees in their November beauty...just perfect...so this is where we started...

Next spot...

Here is the other side of the house...

Isn't this tree just fabulous...

I think I would have to say this is my favorite location at the venue for pictures...I love these bride orchard pictures!!!

Now it's time for a bridesmaids formals...I love all of these pictures...I love the way I posed them...some of them are newer poses that we just started using this fall.

Kristen had two Maid of Honors...so we did a special picture with them...

I decided to include these individual pictures to show how my teams do formals! They are not your typical format of casual wedding formals!!! I don't think there is anything formal about these...

Here is something we are doing more and more of...a Family Reveal...there are so many ways to do this without doing a first look with your groom. Some brides opt for a Bridesmaid Reveal too. Love these...I made sure I got Kristen's mom and the grooms sister in this full shot. It was such a beautiful moment. In a few of the pictures you can see the bridesmaids reactions also...just so moving. I made sure I captured every moment of this!

I love our style of doing family wedding formals...

Now...it's time for the groom and his groomsmen wedding formals...
we started up in the loft of the barn...one of the reasons I LOVE Delta Diamond Farm!!!

This place is known for this gas station and old truck...you'll see it more in the bride and groom pictures after the ceremony...

These orchard wedding formals turned out awesome...

Here is the grooms family right before the ceremony...

Here we go..."I do" time...

As the bridesmaids walked down the aisle, they all handed Brandon a written message...this was the one from his sister...(DIY wedding ideas)

Pretty cool ring guy pulling a very cute lady in a wagon..

Isn't this the cutest idea...she is dropping GLITTER!!! (DIY wedding ideas)

I love this picture of Kristen starting her walk out with her father...the clouds were just perfect...

I think it was a great idea for Brandon to turn his back until Kristen got to the aisle...

One of my favorite pictures of the whole wedding right here...

They did this cute "ring-finger" thing...where the fingers all represent different family members and the ring finger represents your spouse, you put all the fingers together and they all come apart but the ring finger...anyways...you can google "Chinese wedding finger trick" or "Chinese ring finger meaning" to see exactly how to do it in your ceremony.

I LOVE this! Kristen and Brandon did their personal vows very quietly only to each other. It's a great alternative for couples to do this if they want to write their own vows BUT may not want to read them out loud. (I can thank of a few reasons like, too nervous, to emotional, not a good public speaker, or just want them to be between each other.) (DIY wedding ideas)

Ring time!!!

Almost done...they did a family prayer...

The KISS...

When we do fall weddings, lighting is an issue because of time change, so we did things a little backwards on this wedding. We usually so the family and wedding party formals first so they can go to the cocktail hour, but since we had a covered area to do the wedding party that would give us great light no matter what time it was...we started with the bride and groom formals so we could use all the awesome locations at Delta Diamond Farm with the light still great.

Love these steps...

Again...these orchard farm formals are the best! The clouds were still stunning...even darker and fuller then earlier in the day.

This might be my favorite...

It was SO cold that we borrowed a blanket for a few minutes from the bridesmaids that were helping us keep Kristen's dress as clean as possible and fluffed in the pictures! The blankets colors were not that great or matching to the wedding dress...but the look on their faces were worth posting a few anyways!

I LOVE this one...

Here are some of the gas station formals and the old truck wedding formals...another favorite location at Delta Diamond Farm...

Love these too...

The background of this is just so awesome...

This is the outside of the barn...you will love when yow see the inside of the barn!!!

Here are the family and wedding party formals we did right before the reception...

Okay FINALLY here are the reception details pictures...

Here are the introductions...again, they did things a little different, they were introduced, and then THEY introduced their wedding party themselves...

Here are their beautiful first dance pictures...

 Father daughter dance...

 Here is the mother-son dance...

 Here are the toast pictures...

I loved the set-up of the cake table...

Here is the grooms cake...

 Cake cutting...

Okay, so here is another different way to do something traditional...instead of the traditional bouquet toss, all the single ladies lined up in front of this chest, inside the chest was the bouquet, all the single ladies were given keys, who ever's key opened the chest, they got the bouquet.

Now...I would warn anyone who tries this...make sure the key that opens it is not given to the first person in line, maybe make sure everyone has a key and knows what's going on!  It was pretty much over after the first or second key!

Here is the garter toss...

 Yes...e ripped his coat! LOL

Every farmer has a tractor!!! Love that they drove away on it!!!

 The end!!!

  1. What a fabulous wedding it was! Loved watching the entire photo collection! The bride is looking spectacular in this wedding gown. Well dear I also want to become a party planner and looking for the best event management school for that. I wonder if you have any suggestions for me!
