Sneak peek of this months Tahoe Wedding!!!

I had the pleasure 2 weeks ago to photograph Taylor and Joe's Tahoe wedding! Going back in time...I met Taylor about 6 years ago (I think) while doing my wedding appointments at one of local Starbucks where she works. A little more then a year ago Taylor approached me after one of my client appointments and told me she was getting married and really wanted to hire me to photograph her special day. So went from being one of my favorite Barista's to one of my clients!

For those of you reading this close to the date I am posting this...you will remember two weeks ago, in Sacramento when it rained??? Well...it REALLY rained in Tahoe on their long-awaited and long-planned for beach wedding. I was dreading as the morning was passing by from my hotel as the clouds just kept rolling in and then the rain began...and just kept coming!

About an hour before their ceremony the couple decided to bring the wedding indoors...and I really didn't see too much disappointment as I was with Taylor as she was finishing the final touches of her hair and make-up. She just went with it. Part of her going with the flow could have been because we decided at the time that rain or shine we were going to hit the beach after the ceremony and still get the pictures we so longed for!

But as the ceremony ended and the family formals we ending...the rain DID NOT STOP! So Joe and Taylor made the hard decision to try to do the pictures tomorrow with a friend. Well my second shooter and I immediately knew that we weren't going to let that happen without us. So we quickly let them know that if they were willing to get up and get dressed all up again, that we would be totally willing to join them and do them for them. The beach owners were AWESOME (Lakeside Beach) and totally made it possible and welcoming to work this out also.

I am going to add here...with every Tahoe booking I come up the day before and stay till the following day. ALWAYS. The day before because you never know with unpredictable weather and traffic, it's just a responsible thing to do for your clients...and we stay till the day after because you just NEVER know! This is the first time this has happened in all the years I have been photographing in Tahoe...but this really was confirmation that this is why I do this.

So here are the photo's that we weren't so sure we were going to get...thankfully we were able to help complete their wedding day story for them! It ending up being a beautiful day "on the inside"...because of all the wonderful family we were able to spend the day with...especially getting to see one of my favorite girlie's tie-the-knot! Congrats Miss Taylor...see you at The Bucks soon!!!
