PICTURE OF THE DAY - 12/11/11

I chose this picture as my "Picture of the Day" for today because...well...because it is awesome! I love the sun streaking in and the rainbow...the LAST time I had a perfect rainbow like this, that I captured in a photograph was when I did their engagements! LOVE when the sun invades my photography!!

PICTURE OF THE DAY 11/21/11 "The Moment Before Everything Changes"

With wedding season winding down...that means that the editing and album making to get all pictures done by Christmas the crunch is on and consuming so much of my time. Therefore I don't have much time to post weddings on here.

I seem to fall in LOVE with a picture everyday out of the 500 or so that I find myself editing per day. So until January when things will be slower...I am going to try to do a picture a day as "Picture of the Day" post. Wish me luck! EnJOY!

I love dad's hands touching his daughters arm
just moment's before walking her down the isle...LOVE IT!

Ali and Greg's Wedding Story

Here is the wedding story of Ali and Greg! I love this couple! I loved them the first time I meet them but man did they REALLY interview me! They were VERY thorough in picking their wedding photographer...they asked me questions I had NEVER been asked before, one being what my prices were for family pictures and what kind of baby portraits do I take. They said they wanted to hire a wedding photographer that they would want to have photograph their future family...I got an email about 4 months ago that Ali was pregnant with as they lovingly refer to as "Baby Squeak"! We already have a pregnant shoot set up and I am going to the hospital a few hours after Baby Squeak arrives to photograph him/her for the first time!!! (I actually know which one it is but they are keeping it a secret for some family members...so I have to BE VERY CAREFUL how I refer to him/her!!!) Please enjoy the post as I enjoyed this couple. I chose the pictures carefully, there are some BEAUTIFUL formals included, BUT I tried to mostly pick pictures that showed their emotion moments of the day. Enjoy!

You kinda had to be there to understand the meaning of this...Ali was applying this lipstick right before the ceremony and the name of the color was "paranoid"...we had a few laughs about that!

Ali had VERY different and interesting shoes!!!!

One of my favorites captured of the day...

Another favorite...

...I think one is actually my REAL favorite....

And now begins the story! I LOVE these pictures of Ali and her father. It shows the TRUE emotion of the moments right before Ali walked down the isle. Just for some background...It was not certain at one point that Ali's father was going to be present at their wedding, as he had been very ill, the year prior. But as you can see...all went well for Dad....this WAS really a happy/thankful moment for the two of them!

And here we go...the long awaited moments...

And they are man and wife at last!!!

The wedding party...

Mr. and Mrs. Steele...

The first dances are ONE of my favorite times to capture the emotion of the day...
