Sneak Peek at my SEVEN October weddings!!!

It has been over a month since I have been able to post on here! My October has been wild! But what a ride! SEVEN weddings in FOUR weeks! I thought I would take a moment from my editing and Christmas guidelines to share just a few photos from these SEVEN weddings I had the pleasure of photographing! 

But real quick first I want to announce something pretty special!

I just got a call and then an email from theknot.com letting me know that I have been honored with the 2014 Best of the Best in photography in the Sacramento/Lake Tahoe area. (This is my third consecutive year of receiving the award.) I thought I would share the first part of the email:

Okay, on to the weddings. I only have time now to show just a couple from each wedding but after the holidays I will do complete blogs on each of these beautiful weddings.

 This was the Father Daughter Dance. Dad started the dance with Camille and they added sister a few minutes into the dance. Camille has joined her new husband in Australia to start their life together...so it was a bit of an emotional moment between them. It was beautiful...

Picture of the Day - 11/28/11 - "Moment's Captured of the First Dance"

I have adored this picture from the first time I saw it right after John and Ashley's wedding! So I chose it as my picture of the day...This is why I LOVE the first dance at weddings..usually if you wait and watch you will almost always get s a picture like this one!

Since I missed a few Picture's of the Day due to Thanksgiving,

I am adding a few more favorites of the first dance!

I just love watching the little Ladies in Waiting at weddings...

My fav's from Matt and Donna's wedding...

Here are some of my favorite's from Matt and Donna's wedding. I love the different areas we used to do the couples formals. This white wall of the church was a perfect backdrop to focus in on the happy couple. This first one though I took backwards and upside down if you will and the ground was the backdrop.

We decide to cross the street to use this awesome green wall that just happened to be Donna's chosen color in her wedding...perfect!

When we went over to the reception..there was this gorgeous red wall!

These were my FAVORITE FAVORITE of this wedding...the first dance...obviously...

not your traditional slow dance!

Ruth and Justin on the blog!

Here is Ruth and Justin's wedding. They had a December wedding at The Forest House Lodge. I just loved the girls getting ready room.

Ruth's dress...

I like this picture. The meaning for it to me is, the safety pin they are using is mine. It was her something borrowed. It reminds me that my job can be anything...between photographing or making a bouquet or curling hair OR even finding a safety pin!

This room was great!

While I was running around figuring out where to do the formals when the rain moved us inside, my assistant Dina took these next 3 beautiful pictures...

I love this place that we found to do all the formals inside...just the right look for a Hollywood glam look...can't imagine how different everything would have been if it hadn't rained. Somethings just happen for a reason!

This was right at the beginning of the ceremony when Ruth's niece walked down the isle and her mom was so proud...great moment.

This next one is my favorite of all the ones we took.

I saw the blue from inside my camera and was so excited!

And the shadows...just perfectly perfect in all the right ways. I always say NEVER discard a picture with harsh shadows...most of the time they make a picture uniquely perfect!
